Meet the DJ
DJ Skooby grew up in Queens New York. He orginally started his interest in DJing as a scratch dj really only interested in competing. Competing and winning he made his transition into a party rock dj in 2004. Holding residencies in various clubs through new york city he began to tour throughout the U.S. doing events in Las Vegas, L.A, Miami, Texas and many other states. This leads to him doing many festivals in front of thousands of people.
These festivals lead to world tours. DJ Skooby has done events in Brazil, The Dominican Republic, Japan, Thailand, The UK and through the continent of Africa.
While on tour he was asked to do a wedding for a prominent prince. With this new opportunity he decided to look into the private sector of events.
He has done events for corporations such as Macy’s, Express, Gucci, Bloomingdales, Rolex, Armani, Adidas and many more.
In 2010, after doing events for about 2 years his business grew and was being requested to do weddings and referred to by many people in the wedding industry. Still focusing on doing clubs and short tours he developed relationships with companies on long island.
Fast forward a few years DJ SKooby djed on radio (87.7 for both companies) and did for 107.9. Now focusing on weddings he has done destination weddings in many countries including Canada, Italy, the Domician Republic, Jamaica, Brazil, and countless other places. .
With countless relationships throughout the east coast DJ Skooby is continuing to bring the best possible service to his clients with a strong team behind him.

He is also an audio engineer guaranteeing quality of sound and lighting, providing an on site tech support for any of his services whether it be Sound, Lighting, and/or photobooths. With years of experience and a extensive collection of music he can really make any event once in a lifetime.
DJ Skooby is not a one dimensional DJ. What makes him unique is the wide genres of music he incorporates in his private events and festival performances.
Festivals
If you haven’t been to a music festival, you’re missing a great experience. DJ Skooby has performed at numerous festivals in front of thousands of people. These aren’t your typical sets in a club or at a wedding, these are hardcore music lovers in attendence. His style of blending, cutting, scratching, and mashups combined with a diverse background knowledge of music has helped drive him to become one of the most liked DJ’s at these festivals bridging the cultural gap for many.
Selection
Telling someone at their wedding “ give me a list of music “ is unacceptable. To know the music of the culture is to respect the culture. DJ Skooby has partaken is many weddings with all sorts of backgrounds such as West Indian, East Indian, Haitian, Latin, Greek, just to name a few. What comes with this knowledge is a great understanding of religious ceremonies that come with these backgrounds.
The Process
Once you've decided to book DJ Skooby he will work with you through the entire wedding process. He will send planning packets and explain each step never leaving the clients alone in the process. He takes the clients music request and customize a playlist specific to their needs, this goes for ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception.
